In a dilapidated playhouse, Cohle finds another twig latticework. Hart and Cohle follow up on the Fontenot disappearance with a visit to Marie's uncle Danny. Cohle reluctantly accepts but, losing a battle with alcoholism, turns up drunk. Another report is brought up, of a child who claimed to be chased through the woods by a "green-eared spaghetti monster." Hart invites Cohle over for dinner, unaware that it is Cohle's deceased daughter's birthday. Their investigation brings up the case of Marie Fontenot, a little girl whose disappearance five years earlier was not investigated. Cohle is convinced that this is not the killer's first victim, but Hart is skeptical. A twig latticework, like a Cajun bird trap, is found with her body. Detectives Martin Hart and Rustin "Rust" Cohle investigate the ritualistic murder of former prostitute Dora Kelly Lange, found with a symbol painted on her back and wearing a "crown" of deer antlers, blindfolded and posed as if praying to a large solitary tree. Lucky also got an issue of the comics devoted entirely to his own POV in which he reveals his self-appointed nickname, the Pizza Dog, though how the lovable Lucky comes into Clint and Kate's ownership in the Disney+ Hawkeye series remains to be seen.Cast See also: Character appearances for Season 1 For a complete list of the cast, see Cast or Cast, season 1. He is then adopted by Hawkeye and becomes his close companion, and eventually, Kate's as well. In the comics, the golden retriever has quite the traumatic origin story as he is severely beaten by the Mafia, resulting in the loss of his left eye. The fact that Lucky is missing an eye is just another example of how closely the series is following Fraction's storyline. This isn't the first time fans got a look at Lucky either, as the one-eyed Pizza dog was featured in a previous poster for the show, though it's nice to see Clint and Kate's four-legged friend getting his time to shine in his own character poster.

It was already known that Clint would start to lose his hearing in Hawkeye and eventually begin using a hearing aid, an element of the comics that Renner confirmed the series would adapt during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The most notable takeaways are Clint's hearing aid and Lucky's missing eye. There are three promotional posters in total, one each for Clint, Kate, and Lucky. Now, with Hawkeye's premiere date on Disney+ just one week away, Marvel Studios has unveiled the character posters for the show.
